Head of Finance / Senior Financial Controller

£80,000 – £90,000 + Benefits

We are working exclusively on behalf of a high-growth, well-established UK business seeking an experienced Head of Finance / Senior Financial Controller to own the finance function and play a key role in the company's next stage of growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking for a genuine route into Finance Director.

The Role: Head of Finance / Senior Financial Controller

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take responsibility for the full finance function across a multi-entity group and lead and develop a small finance team.

You will be responsible for:

Full ownership of the finance function across multiple entities

Management accounts and financial reporting

Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management

Strengthening financial controls and processes

Providing meaningful financial insight to the Senior Leadership Team

Supporting commercial and strategic decision-making

Driving improvements across the finance function

Leading, mentoring and developing a small team

Helping build the finance infrastructure required to support continued growth

About You

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance leader who is comfortable operating in an SME or multi-entity environment and taking genuine ownership.

You will ideally have

• Warm communication skills
• Experience leading an entire finance function
• Strong multi-entity/group accounting experience
• A track record of developing management reporting and forecasting
• Strong cash flow and financial control experience
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders
• Previous team leadership experience
• ACCA, CIMA qualification desirable
• Most importantly, you’ll be someone who wants to make an impact rather than simply maintain the status quo, with the ambition and capability to progress into a Finance Director position
