Unity Resourcing are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager to join a successful and growing organisation based in Knaresborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of an established finance function while playing a key role in supporting future growth. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll be responsible for financial reporting, controls, budgeting, forecasting and delivering valuable commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain robust controls, drive continuous improvement and develop a small finance team. This role would suit a hands-on individual who enjoys balancing the detail of day-to-day finance with a broader commercial perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day finance function
• Producing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
• Maintaining strong financial controls and reconciliations
• Supporting year-end accounts, audits and statutory reporting
• Developing KPI reporting and management information
• Identifying process improvements and automation opportunities
• Mentoring and supporting junior finance team members
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to support business performance and growth

About You

ACCA or CIMA or equivalent qualified

Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar role

Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience

Excellent financial control and reconciliation skills

Advanced Excel and accounting systems knowledge

Experience leading, mentoring or developing team members

Able to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
