An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and fully qualified Finance Manager to join a successful, ambitious and growing organisation based in Watford.

As a result, they are looking to strengthen their finance function with the appointment of a commercially minded Finance Manager who can take ownership of day-to-day financial operations while providing high-quality insight and support to the wider business.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the effective management of the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting commercial and operational decision-making across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts

Managing month-end and year-end processes

Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management

Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

Monitoring business performance against budgets and forecasts

Producing meaningful financial analysis and management information

Identifying trends, risks and opportunities within financial performance

Supporting senior management with commercial and strategic decision-making

Overseeing transactional finance processes and ensuring accuracy across the function

Maintaining and developing robust financial controls and procedures

Supporting audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements

Driving improvements in financial systems, processes and reporting

Working collaboratively with operational teams and stakeholders throughout the organisation

Supporting the wider business as it continues its growth across the UK

About You

We are looking for a confident, capable and commercially aware finance professional who can combine strong technical accounting knowledge with an approachable and collaborative working style.

To be considered, applicants should be fully qualified and able to demonstrate strong experience within a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Management Accountant or similar senior finance position.

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is essential, alongside strong practical experience of Xero.

You should also possess excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of management accounts and financial controls, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes and becoming genuinely involved in the wider commercial performance of a business.
